Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans Endorses Hill Harper for U.S. Senate

Detroit, MI — Today, Hill Harper, candidate for U.S. Senate in Michigan, proudly announces the endorsement of Wayne County Executive Warren C. Evans, a dedicated and lifelong public servant who has led Michigan’s most populous and diverse county with a steadfast hand and a heart for the people.

With a career that began in 1970 as a Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputy, Executive Evans has long been one of the most popular public officials in the state. He was first elected County Executive in 2014, defeating a 3-term incumbent. His effective leadership resulted in landslide reelections, winning over 70% of the vote in both 2018 and 2022. In 2022 the Wayne County Airport Authority honored his years of service by renaming DTW’s North Terminal as the Warren Cleage Evans Terminal.
